In 2017 Home Comfort Inc. received a call from the owner of Stayton Heating and Air Conditioning. They were calling to ask the owner, Joe Flande if he would once again like to take care of the families in Stayton. More specifically, Joe was asked if Home Comfort Inc. would like to purchase and run the well-respected Stayton HVAC service company, to which he responded with an enthusiastic, YES!
For context, it is helpful to know that Joe was born and raised in Stayton. He started school at Saint Mary’s Grade School and then transferred to Stayton Union High School. Back in 1975, Joe began working at Stayton Heating and Air Conditioning. While working, he became a Journeyman Service Technician through an intense four-year apprenticeship program.
After moving to Salem in 1989, he started working at Home Comfort Inc.. After rising through the ranks, Joe purchased Home Comfort Inc. along with his wife Vicki back in 1996.
Over the years Home Comfort Inc. became the area’s leading heating and cooling service company. The team has grown, and today the company is supported by the dedication of the entire Home Comfort Inc. employee family, including Joe’s son Ben, who is the Vice President.
The acquisition of Stayton Heating and Air Conditioning is just another example that proves one of Joe’s favorite sayings, “Things come full circle. God truly works in mysterious ways”.
Looking toward the near future, the Home Comfort Inc. and Stayton brands will continue to merge and grow. Home Comfort Inc. is excited and honored to be able to carry on and expand on the great legacy of service and professionalism provided by Stayton Heating and Air Conditioning.
